Co-creating Solutions for Scalable Impact

AKT Network partnerships are built around shared goals and complementary strengths. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, the network supports a range of partnership pathways — from collaboration on specific initiatives to long-term, strategic engagement.

Partners may include public agencies, private organizations, nonprofits, health systems, community organizations and industry leaders. Each partnership is shaped by mission alignment, community need and the potential for meaningful, collaborative, scalable impact.

Partnership in the AKT Network does not imply endorsement of products, services or positions. Instead, it reflects a shared commitment to collaboration in service of the Commonwealth.

Our External Partners Working across sectors for Kentucky

AKT Network partners represent a broad cross-section of organizations — each contributing expertise in service of shared goals for the Commonwealth.

Focus Areas Advancing collective priorities

AKT Network partnerships align with one or more of the network’s core focus areas:

  • Healthcare access and innovation — Expanding access to quality care, advancing clinical innovation and improving health outcomes statewide
  • Education and opportunity pipelines — Strengthening pathways to education, training and lifelong learning
  • Workforce and economic development — Supporting talent development, innovation and economic vitality
  • Community and land-grant engagement — Leveraging the university’s land-grant mission to serve communities in every region of Kentucky

Partnership activities may include research collaboration, workforce training, community-based initiatives, applied innovation or shared learning opportunities.

Internal Partners and Aligned Initiatives Building on longstanding progress

The Network also builds on and supports longstanding work already underway across the University of Kentucky. Several internal initiatives, units, colleges and teams play a critical role in advancing shared priorities and serve as key partners within the AKT Network structure.

Rather than duplicating existing efforts, AKT helps align, connect and amplify this work — supporting coordination across the university and strengthening structured engagement with partners across the Commonwealth.

Additional internal partners and aligned initiatives may be incorporated into the AKT Network as collaboration evolves and new opportunities emerge.
