Kaval Chhabra, Ph.D., is supported by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Chhabra is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences in the UK College of Medicine and is affiliated with the Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Research Center. 

Research Advancing Kentucky: Propelling the science behind cancer care

B. Mark Evers, M.D., is the director of the UK's Markey Cancer Center, physician in chief of oncology service and a professor of surgery in the UK College of Medicine. Markey is 1 of only 72 National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country. It’s the first and only center in Kentucky to achieve this designation.

Katherine Hartmann, M.D., Ph.D., is the director of the UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) and a professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the UK College of Medicine.
